Managing your Terminal
Viewing your terminals
Go to Settings > Money > Terminal to see your terminals. Tap a terminal to see its details:
| Detail | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Status | Active when it's ready to take payments, or Activation required if no one has signed in yet |
| Terminal ID | The ID for this terminal on your account. Share it with us if you need help |
| Serial number | The serial number printed on the device |
| Terminal App version | The version of the app installed on this terminal |
Renaming a terminal
If you have more than one terminal, give each one a name that makes it easy to identify, such as Front counter or Till 2.
- Go to Settings > Money > Terminal
- Select the terminal
- Tap Edit name
- Enter a new name
- Tap Save name
Checking a terminal's sales
You can see all the payments taken on a specific terminal.
- Go to Settings > Money > Terminal
- Select the terminal
- Tap View sales
Your sales open with that terminal already selected as a filter. Select a payment to see its details, including the terminal name and Terminal ID.
Sending a receipt
You can email or print a receipt immediately after taking a payment. See Taking payments.
To email a receipt later:
- Open the payment in your sales
- Tap Send receipt
- Enter your customer's email address
Refunding a payment
- Open the payment in your sales
- Tap Refund
- Enter the amount you want to refund. You can refund all or part of the payment
- Choose whether your customer has the card they used to pay:
- Yes, card is here: ask your customer to tap or insert their card. The refund is processed straight away, and you can print a refund receipt
- No, card not available: continue without the card. The refund takes longer to process. When it's complete, we'll email you and send you a notification in the Nomod App
The refund goes back to the payment method your customer used and is taken from your account balance, so you'll need enough balance to cover it. You can refund a payment for up to six months after it was made.
The Nomod fee from the original payment isn't refunded. See Refunds to learn more.
If a refund fails
Open the payment in your sales in the Nomod App and check the refund status. Tap Retry refund to try again. If it still doesn't go through, contact us.
Updating your terminal
When we release a new version, your terminal asks you to update. Follow the steps on screen to install the latest version.
