Stripe Connect
Connect allows you to process payments using Nomod with your own Stripe account.
Activating Connect in the Nomod App
Navigate to Settings > Connect > Stripe and connect your Stripe account to get started.
Changing your Active Processor
You may change your active processor at any time. Navigate to Settings > Connect and select your active processor.
Fees and Payouts
The processor selected as active at the time of a transaction will determine the provider that the transaction is processed through, and the respective fees and payout schedule applicable to that charge.
Nomod fees for Connect transactions also apply when Nomod is not selected as the active processor, and more detail can be found in the Pricing topic.
For example:
- When Stripe is selected as your active processor, transactions will be processed through your Stripe account, with your respective Stripe account's transaction fees and payout schedule applied as normal, together with the Nomod fees for Connect transactions.
- When Nomod is selected as your active processor, transactions will be processed by Nomod, with your respective Nomod account's transaction fees and payout schedule applied. Nomod fees for Connect transactions will not apply.
On your Stripe Dashboard
When Stripe is selected as your active processor, all transactions processed using Nomod will settle directly into your Stripe account, and will be visible on your Stripe dashboard as normal, together with any non-Nomod transactions you may have. You can use the Stripe dashboard features as normal on these transactions.
Metadata
Connect transactions processed using Nomod will contain Nomod in the App metadata field.
Statement Descriptor
The statement descriptor will be the same as the rest of your Stripe transactions, and is based on the legal name of your business as set on your Stripe account. It will not mention Nomod.
Application Fees
The Nomod fees for Connect transactions will appear in your Stripe dashboard as Application fees.
Stripe Radar Rules
Any risk and review rules you have created and set on your Stripe account will also apply to these Connect transactions.
Disputes
Any disputes received on these transactions should be managed directly by you via your Stripe dashboard. We are able to assist you with any information you may require to counter a dispute, however, we're not able to counter disputes on your behalf for Connect transactions processed directly through your Stripe account.
Downstream Integrations
If you have set up downstream integrations with, for example, Xero or QuickBooks, your Connect transactions will be included as part of the data that is passed across.
